If you no longer need your VIMpay account – for example, because your main bank now offers a direct partnership with PAGOPACE – you can delete the account directly in the app.
Important Preparation (Empty Card)
Collect balance: Transfer your entire balance from additional cards (such as the PAGOPACE card) back to your orange main card via Money Swift.
Withdraw remaining balance: Tap the center of the orange main card, go to Settings, and select “Empty Card”. Your remaining balance will now be transferred to your linked reference account.
Cancel Account
Navigate to the “Security” option in the VIMpay app.
Select “Legal and Privacy”.
Tap “Cancel VIMpay Account” at the very bottom and confirm the process.
⚠️ Important: Account deleted and remaining balance forgotten?
Your money is not lost. Depending on your account configuration, the following processes apply in case of forgotten balance according to the VIMpay Terms and Conditions (Sections 12 & 13):
With a linked reference account: VIMpay automatically transfers any remaining balances after cancellation to the bank account you linked.
Without a linked reference account: The responsible institution “PayCenter” must manually determine the data for a refund. Note: A processing fee of €15.00 applies for each started 3-month period, which will be directly deducted from your remaining balance.
