Instead of storing your actual payment information directly on the PAGO, Fidesmo uses a secure encryption method. This effectively prevents the risk of phishing and skimming (unauthorized data reading).
The Token Method
The virtual token: Fidesmo creates a digital representative for your credit or debit card, called a virtual token.
Encryption: Only this encrypted token is stored on the chip of your PAGO ring.
Payment security: During the payment process at the checkout, only this token is transmitted to the terminal. Your real bank data remains completely invisible and protected from outsiders.
Note: Even if the token should be intercepted, it is completely worthless to fraudsters without authorization from the Fidesmo system.
