Instead of storing your real payment information directly on the PAGO, Fidesmo uses a secure encryption process. This effectively prevents the risk of phishing and skimming (unauthorised data reading).
The token process
The virtual token: Fidesmo creates a digital representative for your credit or debit card, called a virtual token.
Encryption: Only this encrypted token is stored on the chip of your PAGO ring.
Security when paying: During the payment process at the checkout, only this token is transmitted to the terminal. Your real bank details remain completely invisible and protected from outsiders.
Note: Even if the token is intercepted, it is completely worthless to fraudsters without authorisation from the Fidesmo system.
